The Concept
After years of visiting Newquay we saw the need for a guesthouse, which offers the stylishness of a hotel with the intimacy of a B&B so we created Breaks, a contemporary guesthouse, catering for couples. We offer the little things that make a difference to your stay such as cafétiere coffee, fresh milk, a selection of teas including herbal, flat screen TVs with DVD players and access to a wide selection of DVDs. Wireless internet access. All rooms are ensuite and feature original pieces of arts and crafts.

Location
We are only a 5-minute walk from the world famous Fistral beach and the town centre.

Food
We offer a full English breakfast, vegetarian option a speciality. We use locally sourced produce, organic where possible. See our food page for a sample menu.

The Environment
Breaks is an ecologically sound Guesthouse, using energy from renewable sources and environmentally friendly products. We are proud to have been awarded a gold Green Tourism Business award.

Visitor Gifting Scheme
Breaks is operating an ‘opt out’ visitor-gifting scheme for Surfers Against Sewage, Cornwall Wildlife Trust and Newquay Zoo. We automatically add £1 per room on each guest's stay which gets donated to these worthy organisations. If you do not wish to give this donation please ask us to take this off your final account.

SAS is based in Cornwall and campaigns for clean, safe recreational water for everyone. The strive to keep Cornwall’s beaches clean for locals and visitors to enjoy.

 

Cornwall Wildlife Trust carries out vitally important conservation and educational work throughout the county. Our support helps the Trust manage 55 nature reserves, providing refuge for nationally rare and endangered species. Cornwall Wildlife Trust also runs a number of conservation projects across the county, on land and in our seas. We are happy to help raise much needed funds for the Trust, so it can continue to protect Cornwall’s wildlife and wild places, now and for the future.

Newquay Zoo is a Cornwall Sustainability Award winner for its conservation work and projects to protect endangered species. It is also an important educational facility, teaching future generations of locals and visitors about wildlife and the environment. Breaks is proud to support Newquay's 'environmental park'.
